A Day at the Park
A Day at the Park is an animated piece for clarinet quartet (Eb clarinet, two Bb clarinets, and bass clarinet). Imagine a day when there are no cares or worries, just a picnic in the park with some games, relaxation, a paddle-boat ride, a barbecue, and some good music.
On a Sunday Afternoon
On a Sunday Afternoon is for clarinet quartet (Eb clarinet, two Bb clarinets, and bass clarinet). I composed this happy piece for a local group of clarinetists. While composing instrumental compositions, I usually don't think of the music as programmatic in any way--they don't express stories, just moods. So, I usually give titles to these compositions after they are complete. In this case, Sunday afternoon is free time, for fun activities or just relaxing.
Bittersweet Fantasy
This is a lively piece with lots of counterpoint and syncopation. All four trombones are on an equal footing; they all get an equal share playing the melody!
The score is available for purchase from Imagine Music Publishing.
Mysterious Dream
Mysterious Dream is for flute quartet or flute choir. A mysterious, ethereal atmosphere invites one to an icy surreal world.
